Coro Cathedral, Venezuela

Coro Cathedral is a Roman Catholic Cathedral located in Plaza BolĂ­var in Coro, Venezuela. The construction of the cathedral began about 1583 and was completed in 1634. Coro Cathedral is the oldest cathedral and diocese in Venezuela.

The colonial cathedral was remodeled in 1928. It was proclaimed a national monument in 1957 and rebuilt almost to its original appearance. As a part of Coro's historic center Coro Cathedral was inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage sites in 1993.
