St Ignatius Cathedral, Shanghai, China

St Ignatius Cathedral or Xujiahui Cathedral is a Roman Catholic Cathedral located on Puxi Road in the Xujiahui district of Shanghai, China. The cathedral was built by French Jesuits between 1905 and 1910, while design was made by English architect William Doyle.

St Ignatius Cathedral was damaged and used as a state-owned grain warehouse during the Cultural Revolution (1966-76). The cathedral was restored and reopened in the 1980's but the renovation is continuing.
