St James Church is a Roman Catholic Church located in a small village Medjugorje in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The church was built in 1897 on a very unstable ground and began to crack very soon. The parish decided to built a new and larger church after the World War I but the foundation stone was laid in 1936 and the construction works began in 1940. The outbreak of the World War II and the German attack on Yugoslavia stopped the building of the church. St James Church was finally finished in 1966 and consecrated in 1969 although interior was not completed.

St James Church is dedicated to the apostle Saint James but numerous pilgrims visit the church because the revelations of Virgin Mary. According to the legend the Blessed Mary revealed herself to six children in 1981.
