Kingston Parish Church, Jamaica
Kingston Parish Church is an Anglican church located south of Parade in Kingston, Jamaica. The original church from 1695 was destroyed in an earthquake in 1907, while the present church was built in 1911. The church tower was added as a memorial to the fallen soldiers after the World War I.Kingston Parish Church is regarded as one of the most beautiful churches in Jamaica. It also houses valuable relics, artworks and sculptures such as memorial made by John Bacon to the English Admiral John Benbow who died in Port Royal and monument to John Wolmer, wealthy Kingston goldsmith who left his wealth in a will to found a school.
